Image 45 Inspired By Amouage Reflection 45 Man
Image 45 doesn’t scream wealth, although the original’s price tag certainly does. Instead, it feels quietly premium, smelling less like money and more like someone who’s very good at making it. Clean, polished and exceptionally well put together, it presents a sort of smooth floral and woody character that few fragrances manage to pull off without feeling either too soft or overly formal.
Despite the abundance of florals, this never really smells floral. The iris and white flowers act more like texture than notes, creating a creamy, almost tailored quality that feels professional without becoming boring. The resinous notes found in Reflection 45, such as opoponax, olibanum and myrrh, help round out the woodiness and create a strong base that stops the iris from feeling too powdery. Thankfully it somehow manages all of this without ever really smelling like incense.
It captures much of the depth and refinement that made the original so popular, likely because this is one of the few fragrances Montagne released as an extrait rather than an EDP.
