La Nuit 2011 Inspired By YSL La Nuit De L’Homme 2011
Like many icons in perfumery, La Nuit de L’Homme hasn’t remained untouched over time. As production scales and regulations evolve, subtle shifts in formulation are almost inevitable. Often resulting in a fragrance that feels lighter, less textured, and less impactful than earlier batches.
However, the 2011 version is widely regarded as the scent at its peak (Similar to Creed Aventus in 2016-1018). Here, the balance was richer and more refined: cardamom takes centre stage with a smooth, enveloping warmth, supported by a soft lavender nuance and a deeper, more rounded cedarwood base. The overall effect is denser, more intimate, and far more expressive than what followed. This interpretation focuses specifically on that earlier 2011 profile – capturing the fuller body, the spiced warmth, and the signature depth that once defined La Nuit.

So first time using POA and loooong time since using montagne dupes, this frag took me back to when I tried it in the US at a buddy’s house fell in love with it as soon as I smelled it!! Since then been through bottles of la nuit l homme and acquired a 2011 vintage 100ml of the grail juice!! This dupe is so accurate to the real stuff it’s scary!!! Also it out performs it and is slightly deeper and more projective, the original was never ment to melt eyeballs but the dupe from montagne manages to walk that line perfectly, will be purchasing a couple of bottles on restock as I fly through this juice and want to keep my vintage bottle for best 😁 also fantastic comms with the company!!!!
